Casting for a Film: Ihsan's Diary is an artwork by Beirut-based artist Lamia Joreige in which Palestinian and Lebanese actors audition and read scenes for a hypothetical film based on the 1915 diary of Ihsan Turjman, a young Jerusalemite conscripted into the Ottoman army—conversations that ultimately expand into reflections on World War I, memory, and history.
