**Dead of Night (1945)** is a British anthology horror film in which an architect arrives at a country farmhouse and discovers that his fellow guests—and the events that unfold—mirror a recurring nightmare he's had, with the frame story connecting several eerie tales of the supernatural, including the famous story of a haunted mirror and a demonic ventriloquist's dummy.
