Tukano & Kayapó
This event concludes with an examination of two Amazonian indigenous cultures, the Tukano and the Kayapó, presented as representative examples of the diversity of Amazonian Indian societies—beginning with the Tukano's communal living arrangements and their ceremonial system that balanced spiritual hierarchy among men with material equality maintained through women's exchange of goods.
