TITANIC
The Titanic was a British luxury ocean liner that sank in the North Atlantic Ocean on April 15, 1912, after striking an iceberg on its maiden voyage from Southampton to New York City. More than 1,500 of the roughly 2,200 passengers and crew died in one of history's deadliest maritime disasters, largely due to an insufficient number of lifeboats.
