Die Räuber
*Die Räuber* (The Robbers, 1781) is Friedrich Schiller's famous drama about two brothers, Karl and Franz Moor: the idealistic Karl becomes an outlaw leading a band of robbers after being unfairly disowned, while the scheming Franz usurps their father's estate—culminating in betrayal, family destruction, and tragic reckoning. It is considered a foundational work of the Sturm und Drang movement.
