Hänsel und Gretel
Hänsel und Gretel ("Hansel and Gretel") is a classic German fairy tale collected by the Brothers Grimm, in which two poor children are abandoned in the forest, lured into a witch's gingerbread house, and after outwitting the witch—who intended to eat them—escape with her treasure and return home. It is also famously adapted as an opera by Engelbert Humperdinck.
