"Cuadros de una Exposición" (Pictures at an Exhibition) is a famous musical suite by Modest Mussorgsky, composed in 1874 as a tribute to his friend, the artist Viktor Hartmann, after a memorial exhibition of his paintings and designs. The work musically depicts the viewer walking through the gallery, encountering various artworks—later famously orchestrated by Maurice Ravel.
