Marcel Kohler's stage adaptation of Hans Fallada's novel *Kleiner Mann, was nun?*, created for the Staatstheater Nürnberg, follows the young couple Lämmchen and Pinneberg as they struggle against social decline in turbulent pre-war times, while weaving in autobiographical elements of Fallada's own life.
