After shedding
"After shedding" refers to the process an animal undergoes once it has molted or sloughed off its old skin, fur, or exoskeleton—revealing fresh, new growth underneath. This post-shedding period often involves the animal's brighter appearance, increased vulnerability or sensitivity, and behaviors like rubbing to remove remaining fragments.
