Mutters Courage
This is about George Tabori's work *Mutters Courage* ("My Mother's Courage"), which tells the true story of how his mother Elsa escaped deportation from Budapest in 1944. The event explores Tabori's unique ability to find dark humor and absurdity within the horrors of the Holocaust, showing how wit could coexist with catastrophe in his theatre.
