**Biermann ohne Biermann** is a cultural event centered on the work of German singer-songwriter and poet Wolf Biermann—likely a tribute or performance of his songs and texts without the artist himself appearing. The title evokes his complicated legacy, particularly his 1976 expatriation from East Germany after a famous concert in Cologne, which made him a symbol of GDR dissent.
