Slow Food Lausitz puts the region's carp back in the spotlight during the Lausitzer Fischwochen (Sept 26–Nov 1, 2026), featuring carp dishes at Slow Food restaurants, fish cooking courses, and visits to local fish farmers. The initiative connects producers, chefs, and guests while preserving local culinary tradition, craftsmanship, and the historic pond landscape.
