The Panthéon is a monumental neoclassical building in Paris's Latin Quarter, originally built as a church (1758–1790) and now serving as a secular mausoleum where France honors its most distinguished citizens, including Voltaire, Rousseau, Marie Curie, and Victor Hugo. Its inscription reads "Aux grands hommes, la patrie reconnaissante" ("To great men, the grateful homeland").
