CMS China: Legal Lunch Bites – Cancellation of PRC IIT Exemption on Dividends Received by Foreign Individuals
China has officially terminated the IIT exemption on dividends distributed by foreign-invested enterprises to foreign individuals (including those from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan), per a joint announcement by the Ministry of Finance and State Administration of Taxation effective 1 September 2026.
