Stolperscheiben – Die vergessenen jüdischen Unterhaltungsmusiker:innen der 1920 und 1930er Jahre
At this year's LernNacht in Schwabach, Bernd Felbermair will give a talk commemorating forgotten Jewish popular musicians of the 1920s and 1930s who were persecuted, exiled, or murdered by the Nazis. He will play original shellac recordings on a historic gramophone, letting these "Stolperscheiben" (stumbling discs) open acoustic windows into the artists' lives and fates.
