„Es werde Licht" (German for „Let there be light") refers to the famous biblical phrase from Genesis 1:3, spoken by God at the moment of creation. It is also widely used as a metaphor for enlightenment, new beginnings, and scientific discovery—most famously in Max Planck's 1933 lecture of the same name, where he connected the phrase to the physics of light and quantum theory.
