**Ein Volksfeind** („An Enemy of the People“) is a play by Henrik Ibsen in which Dr. Stockmann discovers that the town's spa baths are contaminated, but when he tries to expose the truth, the townspeople and his own brother, the mayor, turn against him, branding him an enemy of the people to protect their economic interests.
