The 900 years of Averroes-Averroes among us
This event commemorates the 900th anniversary of the birth of Averroes (Ibn Rushd), the celebrated 12th-century Andalusian Muslim philosopher. It highlights his enduring legacy as a transmitter and commentator of Greek knowledge—especially Aristotle—whose works bridged Islamic, Jewish, and Christian intellectual traditions and shaped medieval European thought.
