Monumental Ofrenda at the Zócalo
The Monumental Ofrenda at Mexico City's Zócalo is a large-scale Day of the Dead altar running October 25 to November 2, 2025, dedicated to the 700th anniversary of the founding of Mexico-Tenochtitlán. The installation honors Tonantzin, the Mother Goddess, blending pre-Hispanic symbols, chinampas, and the Red Queen with contemporary art.
