Photogravure
Photogravure is an intaglio printmaking process in which a photographic image is etched onto a copper plate and printed, allowing for the high-quality reproduction of photographs with rich tonal detail. It was widely used in the late 19th and early 20th centuries for art photography, illustrated books, and periodicals before modern halftone printing took over.
