Cabaret Mami Wata Rit
Mami Wata Rit is an afro-queer cabaret by the Vénus noire troupe blending dance, song, poetry, live music and performance to explore Black body representation through dreamlike stories inspired by Robert Johnson and Karaba. The show deconstructs the myth of "Black Excellence," making Black and queer bodies the subjects of their own narratives.
