**"¡Diles que no me maten!"** ("Tell Them Not to Kill Me!") is a short story by Mexican author Juan Rulfo about Juvencio Nava, an old man who begs for his life decades after killing a neighbor in a dispute over land. Despite hiding for years, he is finally captured by soldiers and executed, with his son ultimately collecting his body.
