Tosca
**Tosca** is Giacomo Puccini's beloved opera about the fiery singer Floria Tosca, whose desperate attempts to save her lover, the painter Cavaradossi, from the corrupt police chief Baron Scarpia lead to tragedy in Napoleonic-era Rome. First performed in 1900, it's famous for its dramatic arias like "Vissi d'arte" and its gripping tale of love, jealousy, corruption, and sacrifice.
