EUGENE ONEGIN
**Eugene Onegin** is a famous work—originally a novel in verse by Alexander Pushkin (1833), and also a beloved opera by Tchaikovsky (1879)—that tells the story of the jaded aristocrat Onegin, who rejects the love of the young Tatiana, only to regret it years later when she is married and he falls in love with her in turn.
