High Noon
**High Noon** is a 1952 Western film about a small-town marshal, Will Kane, who—on the day of his wedding and retirement—learns that a killer he once sent to prison is arriving on the noon train seeking revenge. Abandoned by the townspeople who refuse to help him, Kane must face the outlaw and his gang alone, making the film a famous exploration of courage, duty, and moral isolation.
