The KantTheaterBerlin/Globe production "Jeder stirbt für sich allein," performed by Anette Daugardt and Uwe Neumann, is a stage adaptation of Hans Fallada's novel about the working-class couple Otto and Elise Hampel (the Quangels), who resisted the Nazi regime by distributing anti-Hitler postcards and letters after their son's death at the front and were executed in Berlin-Plötzensee in 1943.
