This event is a double-bill performance pairing Igor Stravinsky's ballet *Petruschka*—the tale of a puppet who comes to life and suffers tragic unrequited love—with Maurice Ravel's opera *L'Enfant et les Sortilèges*, in which a naughty child is magically confronted by the anthropomorphized objects and animals he has mistreated. The two works showcase dazzling early-20th-century music theater.
