Arrival Otto Sverdrup
The arrival of Otto Sverdrup refers to the Norwegian explorer's return from his Second Fram Expedition (1898–1902), during which he and his crew extensively explored and mapped large areas of the Canadian Arctic islands and northern Greenland. His arrival back in Norway was celebrated as a major achievement, having charted over 200,000 square kilometers of previously unknown Arctic territory.
