"Le Maître de Santiago" is a play by French author Henry de Montherlant, first performed in 1947, which follows the proud commander Don Bernal and his daughter Mariana as the Order of Santiago faces its decline after the fall of Granada, exploring themes of honor, faith, disillusionment, and the clash between idealism and pragmatism.
