Die Hölle auf Erden
This is a performance of *Die Hölle auf Erden* (*Hell on Earth*), a rediscovered 1930s apocalyptic comedy by forgotten Viennese writer Maria Lazar, in which God sends St. Peter to a quarrelsome, League of Nations–divided world on the brink of war—leading to an absurd tale of mistaken identities. The play, only premiered in 2024, remains darkly relevant today.
