SINTERKLAAS INTOCHT
The Sinterklaasintocht is the traditional Dutch parade that marks the arrival of Sinterklaas (Saint Nicholas) in the Netherlands each November, typically arriving by boat or steamboat accompanied by his helpers (Pieten), music, and crowds of children. This festive event kicks off the weeks-long Sinterklaas season leading up to gift-giving on December 5th (Pakjesavond).
