*Woyzeck* is an unfinished expressionist play by Georg Büchner about a poor, exploited soldier who, driven to desperation by poverty, medical experiments, and his lover Marie's infidelity, murders her. Based on a real criminal case, it explores themes of class oppression, mental deterioration, and social cruelty.
