Martins Gans
**Martinsgans** (St. Martin's Goose) is a traditional German dish of roasted goose eaten on St. Martin's Day, November 11th. The custom commemorates St. Martin of Tours, and according to legend, the goose tradition began after geese reportedly revealed his hiding place when he tried to avoid being ordained as a bishop.
