**Kalter Hund** (literally "cold dog," also known as Kalte Schnauze or Kellerkuchen) is a traditional German no-bake dessert made by layering chocolate-coconut fat mixture with plain butter biscuits in a loaf pan, then chilling it until firm. Despite its odd name, it's a beloved treat often made with children, especially for birthdays and parties, as it requires no oven and is simple to prepare.
