The Chemnitz protests (August–September 2018) were a series of demonstrations in Chemnitz, Germany, sparked by the fatal stabbing of a German man allegedly by immigrants. They drew far-right and counter-protesters, led to riots and xenophobic confrontations, and sparked national debate about racism, migration, and extremism in Germany.
