Der fliegende Holländer
A cursed sea captain, condemned to wander the oceans forever until redeemed by a woman's faithful love, is promised salvation by Senta, a woman whose obsessive devotion drives the tragedy. Wagner's dark romantic opera about longing, redemption, and obsession is staged at the Theater an der Wien in a gripping, female-centred production.
