War Requiem
This event is a performance of Benjamin Britten's *War Requiem*, one of the 20th century's most significant choral-orchestral works, which interweaves the traditional Latin Requiem Mass with the anti-war poetry of Wilfred Owen. Composed in 1962 for the consecration of Coventry Cathedral, the piece stands as a powerful statement on the futility and tragedy of war.
