From the Steppe to a World Empire
"The Steppe to a World Empire" refers to the rise of the Mongol Empire, beginning with Genghis Khan's unification of the nomadic tribes of the Central Asian steppes in the early 13th century. Through brilliant military organization and relentless conquest, the Mongols built the largest contiguous land empire in history, stretching from Korea to Eastern Europe.
