Guy Fawkes Night
Guy Fawkes Night (also called Bonfire Night) is an annual British celebration on November 5th commemorating the failure of the 1605 Gunpowder Plot, in which Guy Fawkes and fellow conspirators attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament. It is traditionally marked with bonfires, fireworks, and the burning of effigies of Guy Fawkes.
