Die Abenteuer des Don Quichotte
**Don Quixote** (orig. *El ingenioso hidalgo Don Quijote de la Mancha*, 1605/1615 by Miguel de Cervantes) tells the story of an aging Spanish nobleman who, obsessed with chivalric novels, sets out as a self-proclaimed knight-errant with his squire Sancho Panza — fighting windmills he believes are giants and pursuing absurd adventures that parody medieval knight romances.
