Immendorff
Jörg Immendorff (1945–2007) was a German painter associated with Neo-Expressionism and the Neue Wilde movement, best known for his politically charged "Café Deutschland" series that addressed the division between East and West Germany. A student of Joseph Beuys, he was also a controversial figure, notably for his late-career conviction on drug charges while he suffered from the illness ALS.
