Sankt Martinsfeier mit Laternenumzug is a traditional German celebration held around November 11th honoring St. Martin of Tours, in which children craft colorful lanterns and carry them in an evening procession through the streets, often ending with a reenactment of St. Martin sharing his cloak and the sharing of sweet pastries like Weckmänner.
