Solstice
A solstice is the astronomical moment when the Sun reaches its highest or lowest point in the sky relative to Earth's equator, occurring twice a year—around June 20–21 and December 21–22. These dates mark the longest and shortest days of the year and have been celebrated by many cultures as festivals of light, harvest, and renewal.
