*In the afterglow* is a duet in which classically trained dancer Emiel Vandenberghe shares the stage with 82-year-old ballet legend Birgit Keil, exploring the meeting of generations and the mother-teacher relationship. Described as a futuristic pietà — a sculpture in motion — the performance balances technical perfection with a deeply personal inquiry into the mother figure.
